Spectators at Monday's league match between the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) and the host Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), witnessed Ponaganset's softball squad prevail over Barrington by a count of 19-7.

The Chieftains now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Lincoln for a non-league match on Thursday, April 28.

With the loss, Barrington moves to 1-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Tiverton (Tiverton, RI) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 10. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 1-2.
