Searsport Vikings (Searsport, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME), 15-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valley for a Class D South challenge on Wednesday, April 27.
With the loss, Bangor Christian falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME) to battle the Howlers in a Class D North challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Howlers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
