Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA), 10-8 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Berkeley for a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Bishop O'Dowd will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Albany (Albany, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, San Leandro falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Pirates host Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA) to battle the Dons in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 9-11. Arroyo won 23-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA)
