Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cape Elizabeth for a Class B South challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Fryeburg will battle a Capers squad coming off a 18-11 league loss to York (York, ME). The Capers record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Gray-New Gloucester falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Lake Region (Naples, ME) to clash with the Lakers in a Class B South game on Friday, April 29. The Lakers come into the game with a record of 2-1.
