Morse Shipbuilders (Bath, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Shipbuilders now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Leavitt for a Class B South challenge on Thursday, April 28. Morse will face a Hornets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Cony (Augusta, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Medomak Valley falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME) to face the Eagles in a Class B South challenge on Monday, May 2. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
