The Ray Bearcats softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting St. John Paul II Catholic Lions to 3 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Ray improves its record to 15-8 on the year. The Bearcats host Leading Edge Academy - GEC (Gilbert, AZ) to clash with the Spartans in a 1A East game on Tuesday, April 26. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 2-12. Leading Edge Academy - GEC lost 13-3 in their recent non-league game against Sequoia Charter (Mesa, AZ)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights (Goodyear, AZ) in a 2A West game, on Tuesday, April 26. St. John Paul II Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Crimson Knights come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 9-7 league win over Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ).
