Rosary Royals (Aurora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Royals now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host IC Catholic Prep for a Metro Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Rosary will battle a Knights squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Ridgewood (Norridge, IL). The Knights record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, St. Francis falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL) to battle the Chargers in a Metro Suburban challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Aurora Central Catholic won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Westmont (Westmont, IL)
