The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Covington Cougars to 1 in the Fighting Blues league victory on Tuesday.
The Fighting Blues (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 5-8 record. In their last match, Rockbridge County was overwhelmed by Broadway (Broadway, VA), 9-5, in a league match.
The Cougars (2-12) will now prepare for their match against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA). The Bison go into the non-league match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, Buffalo Gap nipped Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA), 2-1, in a league challenge.
