Santa Fe Trail Chargers (Carbondale, KS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS), 12-2 in a league test.

With the win, Santa Fe Trail upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Anderson County (Garnett, KS) to battle the Bulldogs in a Pioneer test on Tuesday, May 2. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 7-4. Anderson County lost 20-12 in their recent non-league game against Louisburg (Louisburg, KS)

The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their game against Iola (Iola, KS). The Mustangs go into the Pioneer game with a 11-3 record.
