The Western Beaver Golden Beavers baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting St. Joseph Spartans to 0 in the Golden Beavers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Golden Beavers (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Cornell (Coraopolis, PA). The Raiders go into the WPIAL 1A 3 match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Cornell was overwhelmed by Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA), 22-4, in a league match.
The Spartans (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Union Area (New Castle, PA). The Scotties go into the match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Union Area was overwhelmed by West Allegheny (Imperial, PA), 8-1, in a non-league match.
