In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Mineral Point Pointers soccer squad scored a close 6-1 win over the Richland Center Hornets.
The Pointers (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Jefferson, WI). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record.
The Hornets (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Galena (Galena, IL). The Pirates go into the battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Galena was overwhelmed by Platteville (Platteville, WI), 6-0, in a league battle.
