The West Springfield Spartans baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Woodson Cavaliers to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans (10-3) will now prepare for their match against South County (Lorton, VA). The Stallions go into the non-league match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, South County was overwhelmed by Robinson (Fairfax, VA), 3-2, in a non-league match.
The Cavaliers (0-8) will now prepare for their match against Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Bruins go into the non-league match with a 7-5 record. In their last match, Lake Braddock was overwhelmed by Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA), 11-4, in a non-league match.
