Salem Lions (Salem, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Austin Eagles (Austin, IN), 21-4 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Clarksville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. Salem will face a Generals squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Perry Central (Leopold, IN). The Generals record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Austin falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Charlestown (Charlestown, IN) to face the Pirates in a Mid-Southern challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Charlestown won 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Jeffersonville (Jeffersonville, IN)
