Camden Blue Devils (Camden, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY), 18-2 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cicero-North Syracuse for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. Camden will battle a Northstars squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY). The Northstars record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Red devils host Whitesboro (Marcy, NY) to battle the Warriors in a Section 3 Tri-Valley challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Whitesboro won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY)
