Omak Pioneers (Omak, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cascade Kodiaks (Leavenworth, WA), 16-5 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Quincy for a 1A Caribou Trail challenge on Friday, April 28. Omak will battle a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Ephrata (Ephrata, WA). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Cascade falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Kodiaks travel to Ephrata (Ephrata, WA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Ephrata lost 26-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Waterville/Mansfield (Waterville, WA)
