Central Valley Academy Thunder (Ilion, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Thunder now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chittenango for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. Central Valley Academy will face a Bears squad coming off a 8-6 league win over Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY). The Bears record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Holland Patent falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Golden knights host New Hartford (New Hartford, NY) to face the Spartans in a Section 3 Tri-Valley challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. New Hartford won 19-0 in their recent league challenge against Proctor (Utica, NY)
