Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cleveland Blue Raiders (Cleveland, TN), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 22-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to McMinn County for a 4A District 5 challenge on Thursday, April 27. Walker Valley will face a Cherokees squad coming off a 13-8 league loss to Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Cleveland falls to 18-4 on the campaign. The Blue raiders travel to Soddy Daisy (Soddy Daisy, TN) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 26. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Soddy Daisy lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Chattanooga Christian (Chattanooga, TN)
