The Kings Mountain Mountaineers softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Forestview Jaguars to 1 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Kings Mountain moves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Mountaineers host South Point (Belmont, NC) to play the Red Raiders in a Big South 3A game on Friday, April 28. The Red Raiders come into the game with a record of 5-15. South Point lost 12-2 in their recent league game against Crest (Shelby, NC)

In their next game, the Jaguars play the Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A game, on Monday, May 1. Forestview will attempt to move on its 11-8 season record. The Huskies come into the game with a 0-12 record after their 20-1 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC).
