Ohio High School Softball - Franklin nudges Monroe

Franklin Wildcats (Franklin, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carlisle for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. Franklin will face a Indians squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Eaton (Eaton, OH). The Indians record now stands at 13-0.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 4-8 on the year. The Hornets travel to Valley View (Germantown, OH) to clash with the Spartans in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern test on Thursday, April 27. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 2-10. Valley View lost 14-3 in their recent non-league test against Madison (Middletown, OH)
