Marine City Mariners (Marine City, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Mariners now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fraser for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2.
With the loss, Grosse Pointe South falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Renaissance (Detroit, MI) to battle the Phoenix in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 26. The Phoenix enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Renaissance lost 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Marian (Bloomfield Hills, MI)
