Herriman Mustangs (West Herriman, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mountain Ridge Sentinels (Herriman, UT), 13-5 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Layton for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Herriman will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Bingham (South Jordan, UT). The Lancers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Mountain Ridge falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Sentinels travel to Copper Hills (West Jordan, UT) to battle the Grizzlies in a 6A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Copper Hills lost 19-4 in their recent league challenge against Bingham (South Jordan, UT)
