North Carolina High School Softball - North Mecklenburg bounces Hopewell

The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) and the host Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC), saw North Mecklenburg's softball squad achieve victory over Hopewell by a count of 33-16.

The Vikings now sport a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host West Charlotte for a Queen City 3A/4A match on Monday, May 1. North Mecklenburg will face a Lions squad coming off a 20-6 league win over Chambers (Charlotte, NC). The Lions record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Hopewell falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Hough (Cornelius, NC) to face the Huskies in a Queen City 3A/4A match on Friday, April 28. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 12-5. Hough lost 7-0 in their recent non-league match against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
