In Tuesday's league outing, the host Lake Norman Charter Knights softball team scored a close 8-5 win over the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans.

The Trojans (4-12) will now prepare for their outing against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings enter the South Piedmont 3A outing with a 14-4 record. In their last outing, Central Cabarrus tipped Carson (China Grove, NC), 2-1, in a league outing.
