Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL), 10-9 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whitney Young for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. Stevenson will face a Dolphins squad coming off a 16-2 league win over Kennedy (Chicago, IL). The Dolphins record now stands at 16-10.

With the loss, Lake Zurich falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Bears travel to New Trier (Winnetka, IL) to face the Trevians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. The Trevians enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. New Trier lost 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Niles West (Skokie, IL)
