Virginia High School Softball - Middlesex gets by Mathews

April 25, 2023: Saluda, VA 23149

The Middlesex Chargers nipped the visiting Mathews Blue Devils softball squad by a final score of 11-10 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Chargers (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Point (West Point, VA). The Pointers go into the Tidewater battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, West Point held off Charles City (Charles City, VA), 18-1, in a league battle.

The Blue Devils now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater battle on Thursday, April 27. Mathews will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 15-2.
