Kentucky High School Softball - Russell County bounces Metcalfe County

April 25, 2023: Russell Springs, KY 42642

The Russell County Lakers routed the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets softball squad by a final score of 11-0 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Lakers (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY). The Panthers go into the District 16 battle with a 9-9 record.

The Hornets now possess a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Clinton County for a District 16 battle on Saturday, April 29. Metcalfe County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-8 non-league win over Glasgow (Glasgow, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.
