Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they host Frederick for a CMC challenge on Wednesday, April 26. Walkersville will battle a Cadets squad coming off a 24-3 league loss to South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Cadets record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Smithsburg falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Leopards host Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Boonsboro won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD)
