Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Sundevils now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they host La Costa Canyon for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. Mt. Carmel will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA). The Mavericks record now stands at 13-2.

With the loss, Escondido drops to 0-9 on the year. The Cougars host Classical Academy (Escondido, CA) to clash with the Caimans in a non-league game on Friday, April 26. The Caimans come into the game with a record of 1-9. Classical Academy lost 13-2 in their recent non-league game against Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA)
