Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yuba City for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Wheatland will battle a Honkers squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Antelope (Antelope, CA). The Honkers record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, Marysville falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Colfax (Colfax, CA) to battle the Falcons in a challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 4-6.
