New York High School Softball - Starpoint bounces Amherst Central

Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY) and the host Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY), witnessed Starpoint's softball squad prevail over Amherst Central by a count of 11-3.

The Spartans now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Sweet Home for a non-league match on Friday, April 26. Starpoint will face a Panthers squad coming off a 24-4 league win over Hamburg (Hamburg, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Amherst Central moves to 0-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to West Seneca West (West Seneca, NY) to face the Warhawks in a non-league match on Friday, April 26.
