Montana High School Softball - Capital holds off Helena

April 25, 2024: Helena, MT 59601

Capital Bruins (Helena, MT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Helena Bengals (Helena, MT), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Belgrade for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Capital will face a Panthers squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Billings Senior (Billings, MT). The Panthers record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Helena falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Butte (Butte, MT) to face the Bulldogs in a AA Western challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. Butte lost 12-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Great Falls (Great Falls, MT)
