Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA), 7-2 in a league challenge.

The Ponies now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crisfield for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29.

With the loss, Nandua falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA) to face the Firebirds in a Eastern Shore challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Firebirds enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Arcadia lost 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Chincoteague (Chincoteague, VA)
