Golden Sierra Grizzlies (Garden Valley, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Esparto Spartans (Esparto, CA), 18-2 in a league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Rio Vista for a Sierra Delta League match on Tuesday, April 30. Golden Sierra will meet a Rams squad coming off a 22-1 league win over San Juan (Citrus Heights, CA). The Rams record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Esparto moves to 0-15 on the season. The Spartans travel to Highlands (North Highlands, CA) to meet the Scots in a Sierra Delta League match on Tuesday, April 30.
