Flora Wolves (Flora, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Edwards County for a Black Diamond East challenge on Friday, April 26. Flora will face a Lions squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL). The Lions record now stands at 16-10.

With the loss, Fairfield falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Mules travel to Eldorado (Eldorado, IL) to face the Eagles in a Black Diamond East challenge on Friday, April 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-10. Eldorado lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL)
