The Falls Lake Firebirds softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host NCSSM: Durham Unicorns to 1 in the Firebirds league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Falls Lake moves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Firebirds host Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC) to clash with the Griffins in a non-league game on Saturday, April 27. The Griffins come into the game with a record of 8-4. Oxford Prep lost 8-3 in their recent league game against Vance Charter (Henderson, NC)

In their next game, the Unicorns clash with the East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, April 30. NCSSM: Durham will attempt to move on its 0-10 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 3-8 record after their 8-5 league win over Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC).
