Maine High School Softball - Presque Isle can't get by Houlton

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) softball team held off the visiting Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME), by a margin of 5-4.
With the triumph, Houlton moves its record to 1-3 on the year. The Shiretowners travel to Caribou (Caribou, ME) to play the Vikings in a non-league contest on Wednesday, May 1. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Caribou lost 28-13 in their recent league contest against Waterville (Waterville, ME)
In their next game, the Wildcats meet the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME) in a Class B North match, on Saturday, April 27. Presque Isle will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Crusaders go into the match with a 1-1 record after their 23-3 league win over Waterville (Waterville, ME).
