Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS), 12-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lakin for a Hi-Plains challenge on Thursday, April 25. Hugoton will face a Broncs squad coming off a 19-10 league win over Stanton County (Johnson, KS). The Broncs record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Lakin falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Broncs travel to Hugoton (Hugoton, KS) to face the Eagles in a GWAC challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Hugoton won 17-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Stanton County (Johnson, KS)
