Salamanca Warriors (Salamanca, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jamestown Red & Green (Jamestown, NY), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cattaraugus-Little Valley for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus II East challenge on Monday, April 29. Salamanca will battle a Timberwolves squad coming off a 14-6 league loss to Ellicottville (Ellicottville, NY). The Timberwolves record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Jamestown falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Red & green travel to Allegany-Limestone (Allegany, NY) to battle the Gators in a Chautaqua / Cattaragus I West challenge on Friday, April 26. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Allegany-Limestone lost 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Falconer (Falconer, NY)
