The Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals got by the visiting St. Cecilia Academy Scarabs softball squad by a count of 10-9 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Royals (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hillsboro (Nashville, TN). The Burros go into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Hillsboro nudged Antioch (Antioch, TN), 14-9, in a league battle.
The Scarabs now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they host East Nashville Magnet for a non-league battle on Monday, April 29.
