Illinois High School Baseball - Bloomington nips Centennial

The Bloomington Purple Raiders baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Centennial Chargers to 4 in the Purple Raiders league win on Friday.

The Purple Raiders now hold a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brooks for a non-league test on Saturday, April 26. Bloomington will play a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Morgan Park (Chicago, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-12.

With the defeat, Centennial drops to 7-10 on the year. The Chargers travel to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to play the Maroons in a Big Twelve test on Monday, April 28. The Maroons go into the test with a record of 11-10. Champaign Central lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL)
