The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) and the host Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), saw Carlsbad's baseball team gain a win over Roswell by a tally of 7-1.

The Cavemen/Cavegirls (19-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM). The Eagles enter the 5A District 4 battle with a 8-16 record. In their last challenge, Hobbs nipped Clovis (Clovis, NM), 3-2, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Roswell drops to 9-14 on the year. The Coyotes host Clovis (Clovis, NM) to clash with the Wildcats in a 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 11-11. Clovis lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)
