The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) and the visiting Kearney Bulldogs (Kearney, MO), saw Platte County's baseball team gain a win over Kearney by a tally of 6-1.
The Pirates (14-3) will now prepare for their battle against Raytown (Raytown, MO). The Bluejays enter the non-league battle with a 2-9 record.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Excelsior Springs Tigers (Excelsior Springs, MO) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 28. Kearney will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 13-8 record after their 10-3 non-league win over Chrisman (Independence, MO).
