California High School Baseball - Pioneer edges Leigh

April 25, 2025: San Jose, CA 95124

The Pioneer Mustangs baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Leigh Longhorns to 1 in the Mustangs league win on Friday.

The Mustangs now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Westmont for a Mount Hamilton test on Wednesday, April 30. Pioneer will play a Warriors team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Christopher (Gilroy, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-15.

With the defeat, Leigh drops to 16-3 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA) to play the Bruins in a non-league test on Saturday, April 26. The Bruins go into the test with a record of 17-3. Santa Clara won 13-0 in their recent league test against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA)
