The Shady Spring Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies to 8 in the Tigers league win on Friday.
The Tigers now own a 12-10 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a Coalfield AAA test on Monday, April 28. Shady Spring will play a Tigers team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 2-20.
With the defeat, Nicholas County drops to 10-8 on the year. The Grizzlies host Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV) to play the Spartans in a non-league test on Monday, April 28. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 14-9. Greenbrier East lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV)
