In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Strom Thurmond Rebels baseball team scored a close 11-6 victory over the Ninety Six Wildcats.
The Rebels (8-7) will now prepare for their game against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, North Augusta held off Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC), 8-3, in a league game.
Next, the Wildcats face the Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC) in a 2A Region 2 game, on Monday, April 28. Ninety Six will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 10-7 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC).
