In Friday's league contest, the visiting Prout Crusaders lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-8 win over the Portsmouth Patriots.

The Crusaders (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Skippers enter the Division 1 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, North Kingstown was nipped by Barrington (Barrington, RI), 21-12, in a league contest.

Next, the Patriots meet the Bishop Guertin Cardinals (Nashua, NH) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, April 30. Portsmouth will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record.
