California High School Baseball - Carlsbad nips La Costa Canyon

The Carlsbad Lancers baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks to 6 in the Lancers league win on Friday.
The Lancers now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Poway for a test on Monday, April 28. Carlsbad will play a Titans team coming off a 6-2 league win over Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA). The Titans record now stands at 12-7.
With the defeat, La Costa Canyon drops to 10-6 on the year. The Mavericks host Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA) to play the Falcons in a test on Monday, April 28. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 12-9. Torrey Pines lost 10-7 in their recent league test against San Marcos (San Marcos, CA)
