North Carolina High School Baseball - Clayton defeats Fuquay - Varina

In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Clayton Comets baseball team scored a close 7-1 win over the Fuquay - Varina Bengals.

The Comets (9-7) will now prepare for their game against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates go into the game with a 16-1 record. In their last game, Corinth Holders nudged Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 7-6, in a league game.

Next, the Bengals play the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a game, on Tuesday, April 29. Fuquay - Varina will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Storm go into the game with a 10-5 record after their 7-6 league loss to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC).
