In Friday's league outing, the host Liberty Minutemen soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Amherst County Lancers.

The Minutemen (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Staunton River by Fleming (Roanoke, VA), 5-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lancers battle the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) in a Seminole battle, on Monday, April 28. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Red Devils enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 8-0 league loss to Glass (Lynchburg, VA).
