In Friday's league outing, the host Salem Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Pulaski County Cougars.
The Spartans (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights go into the River Ridge outing with a 2-7 record.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) in a River Ridge battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Pulaski County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
